Canadiens’ Harvey-Pinard out, Armia to return against Hurricanes

Montreal Canadiens forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard will not be in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Although he participated in the optional morning skate, Canadiens head coach Martin St. Louis said afterward that Harvey-Pinard will rest to recover from minor injuries.

The 24-year-old rookie from Saguenay, Que., has 14 goals and five assists in 32 games this season.

He was the team’s Molson Cup winner for March and finished the month with five goals in three games including his first career hat trick during an 8-2 rout over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Also, forward Joel Armia will return after missing 19 games due to injury. Armia has 11 points (four goals and seven assists) in 37 games.

Samuel Montembeault gets the start in goal when the Canadiens host the Hurricanes. Watch the game live on Sportsnet East or SN NOW starting at 7 p.m. ET.
