Police in Colorado won’t charge Ja Morant following investigation

Police in Colorado will not charge Ja Morant after investigating a video where the Memphis Grizzlies star appeared to be holding a firearm at a nightclub.

“There was not enough available evidence to charge anyone with a crime,” Glendale Police released in a statement.

Morant streamed the video on his Instagram account early Saturday, hours after playing in Denver against the Nuggets. He said in a statement through the agency that represents him that he takes “full responsibility” for his actions and that he was going to “take some time away to get help.”

The 23-year-old is not currently with the Grizzlies and there is no timetable for his return.

More to come.
