The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks met on Sunday in a thrilling game, and in the end, the Suns were able to come away with a 130-126 victory.

Before the game, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd had good things to say about Phoenix, explaining that the team is “only going to get better” as it moves forward with Kevin Durant.

Durant has only appeared in three games for the Suns, but the early returns on Phoenix’s deal for the superstar have been phenomenal.

The team is 3-0 with Durant in the lineup, and he’s looked great in all of his games with his new team.

So far, the 13-time All-Star is averaging 26.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game with the Suns while shooting a ridiculous 69.0 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from deep.

There were some concerns about whether or not there was enough time left in the regular season for the Suns to build chemistry with Durant before the start of the playoffs, but the truth is that he fits in wherever he goes.

With the way Phoenix is playing right now, the team is undoubtedly causing other teams in the Western Conference to have some sleepless nights.

The Suns are huge threats to represent the conference in the 2023 NBA Finals.

In the meantime, the squad will look to earn a top seed in the West going into the playoffs.

Phoenix currently owns the No. 4 seed and is within striking distance of the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings.

The Suns will be scary in the playoffs no matter where they finish in the standings, but it’s a safe bet that they’d love to secure a solid seed going into the postseason.
