Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luke Schenn was scratched for Tuesday’s game in Nashville against the Predators and flew back to Vancouver, Sportsnet can confirm.

Schenn, 34, has been rumoured to be traded as his skillset — rugged, stay-at-home defenceman — is in high demand for teams making a push into the playoffs. Not to mention, he’s a relative bargain: A pending UFA, Schenn’s cap hit is $850,000 this season.
The Canucks have struggled this season and are 13th in the Western Conference with a 22-30-4 record.
