Aaron Rodgers’ status is up in the air for the second-straight season.
Coming off of a season where the Green Bay Packers failed to make the playoffs, Rodgers is once again on the search for enlightenment.
There have been many rumors surrounding Rodgers, including the fact that he could retire.
Yesterday, Rodgers spoke on the Pat McAfee Show, specifically targeting one rumor about his future.
Rodgers on the notion that he won’t retire in the same offseason as Tom Brady: “The idea that I wouldn’t want to share a stage (at the Hall of Fame) with Tom Brady and J.J. Watt I think is ridiculous.”

Many around the NFL speculated that Rodgers would not want to retire in the same year as Tom Brady.
Brady, of course, has been said to be the best quarterback in NFL history.
To share a stage with him would be an honor for many, which is what Rodgers indicated on McAfee’s show.
Rodgers hasn’t necessarily said that he will not retire in the offseason, but he has not made a final decision.
His options at this point are either to rejoin the Packers, play for a different team, or retire.
Also on the McAfee Show yesterday, Rodgers expressed his interest to go on a darkness retreat, which will allegedly help him make his decision.
This retreat will include four days in complete darkness, with no phones, light, or access to the outside world.
At least in Rodgers’ eyes, this will be the best way for him to find clarity in this situation.
Being that he is a back-to-back MVP, any comment that he makes about his future is subject to scrutiny and extreme analysis.
For Packers fans, it looks like we will not have an answer about Rodgers for at least a few weeks.
