The ride for the Las Vegas Raiders and Derek Carr has been a bumpy ride throughout the years.

Since drafting him in 2014, Carr has led the Raiders to only three winning seasons and two playoff appearances.

With another disappointing season in Las Vegas, it seems like his time is running out.

Before the season ended, he saw himself on the bench for the last game of the season.

Now, he’s putting out a tweet that seems like a farewell of sorts to fans.

While he talks about telling “the whole truth,” he doesn’t reveal what this truth is he’s holding back.

Even with people giving him the time and place to speak about these truths, Carr is keeping it all inside.

However, fans notice how he’s “choosing to move on,” from the Raiders.

But moving on will require an NFL team to trade for him or asking for the Raiders to release him.

With his contract expiring in 2026, the Raiders are on the hook for his salary if they release him.

However, his contract is friendly towards a release, as it will only incur a $5.625 million hit on their cap space.

But they also have to work around Carr’s no-trade clause in his contract.

This means he gets the final say in which team takes him.

While the Raiders will want something for Carr, his contract makes it easy to release him and not worry about where Carr wants to play.

However, it’s clear from Carr’s tweet he’s willing to leave Vegas and start over fresh anywhere else.
