How Long Will The Knicks’ Winning Streak Last?

Going into December, New York Knicks fans knew that their team needed a solid month in order to turn the season around.

New York entered December with a poor record of 10-12 and was in danger of becoming irrelevant in the Eastern Conference.

On Dec. 3, the Knicks played their first game of the month.

It was a home game against the Dallas Mavericks.

But instead of starting the month off with a win, the Knicks got embarrassed by the Mavericks, as Dallas won by 21 and sent New York to a 10-13 record.

Things looked bleak for the Knicks, and there weren’t many reasons for optimism, especially since the team had a date with the extremely talented Cleveland Cavaliers set for the next day.

But shockingly, the Knicks found a way to beat the Cavs in a defensive battle.

That game seemingly changed everything for New York, as the team hasn’t lost since.

The Knicks haven’t lost in two weeks, and based on their upcoming schedule, their winning streak could last several more games.

10 Straight?

Could New York’s six-game winning streak reach 10 games?

It doesn’t seem impossible.

Here are the Knicks’ next four matchups:

  • at Indiana Pacers
  • vs. Golden State Warriors (with no Stephen Curry)
  • vs. Toronto Raptors
  • vs. Chicago Bulls

None of these teams are pushovers, but all four games are certainly winnable for New York.

The Pacers are 15-15.

The Warriors are 14-16, and they’re obviously a completely different team without Curry.

The Raptors are three games under .500 at 13-16, and the Bulls are six games under .500 at 11-17.

If the Knicks were to go 4-0 over this stretch, they’d be on a 10-game winning streak entering their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day.
