One of the more lopsided NFL games on paper this week features the Houston Texans versus the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys are 17-point favorites and are coming off a 35-point win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Dallas is playing like one of the best teams in football right now, and the Texans are in serious trouble.
Houston enters the game with a 1-10-1 record and is focused on getting the number one pick.
Here are two bold predictions for Sunday’s battle of Texas.
1. Cowboys Win By 30+ Points
The Cowboys offense has been on a tear ever since Dak Prescott returned from injury in Week 7.
Despite Cooper Rush leading the Cowboys to a 4-1 record, Prescott has taken Dallas to a different level.
The Cowboys have the best offense in the NFL since Week 7.
The Dallas offense since Dak Prescott returned:
⭐️ 42.4% TD Drive Percentage (1st)
⭐️ 37.2 points per game (1st)
⭐️ 411 yards per game (2nd) pic.twitter.com/Irx5Z7l0xT— PFF (@PFF) December 8, 2022
Since Week 8 the Cowboys have three games where they have scored at least 40 points.
Dallas is averaging 37.2 points per game since Prescott has returned.
Plus their defense has been one of the best in the NFL, especially at taking the ball away.
Their 21 takeaways this year rank second in the NFL.
The Cowboys’ offense should get plenty of opportunities to score points on a short field.
Which is how 30+ points blowouts usually come to fruition.
2. Cowboys Score One Defense And Special Teams Touchdown
The aforementioned turnover-hungry Cowboys defense will get to feast on a young quarterback this week.
Houston has decided to turn back to Davis Mills as their starting quarterback this week.
But, in 10 games this season, Mills has thrown 11 interceptions.
The Dallas defense should be able to get 2-3 takeaways in this game.

All they have to do is return one for a touchdown.
On special teams, Dallas should force the Texans to punt plenty.
Which will give KaVontae Turpin a chance to return one for a touchdown.
Turpin has been primed to return a punt for a touchdown this year, and this seems like a good week to do it.
