As the NBA turns the calendar over to December, there are a handful of teams that enter the month with plenty of momentum.

November was the first full month of the season and it was a great chance for a few teams to climb the standings.

Even though it is still early in the year, putting together winning months is crucial.

Here are two NBA teams that had a great November.

1. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have the best record in the NBA, thanks to an elite run in November.

The Celtics finished the month 13-2 and now sit at 18-4 on the season.

Despite losing their head coach to a season-long suspension, Boston has not missed a beat.

The Celtics look primed to make another run at the NBA Finals this year.

Also, the play of Jayson Tatum has been a big reason for their success.

In November, Tatum averaged 31.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

He is on the shortlist of MVP candidates through two months of the season.

2. Sacramento Kings

One of the most surprising teams in the NBA has been the Sacramento Kings.

This Kings team was expected to be one of the worst in the league as they look to rebuild their roster.

But, their November record of 9-4 shows they are capable of winning now.

Look no further than the play of their leading scorer De’Aaron Fox as to why they have been successful.

Fox averaged 23.8 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds during November.

This has been a surprisingly good run by the Kings.

Sitting with a season record of 11-9, having a good December can show the Kings are true playoff contenders.
