Steelers Aiming To Maintain Monday Night Supremacy

The Pittsburgh Steelers seem to play their most inspired games on Monday Night Football.

While coached under the direction of Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have only lost 3 of 18 games on Monday Night Football, which spans 15 NFL seasons.

One major difference in the team culture revolves around the quarterback position.

For 18 years, the Steelers were quarterbacked by mostly well-loved Ben Roethlisberger.

Now, they have rookie Kenny Pickett at the helm, who will be taking on 15-year NFL veteran Matt Ryan.

Ryan had previously played for the Atlanta Falcons before being traded to the Indianapolis Colts.

Monday Night Football At A Glance

While Pittsburgh has won seven consecutive matchups with the Colts, there is reason to believe that the Colts will have the upper hand in tonight’s matchup.

For starters, the Steelers are only sporting a 3-7 record on the season, compared to the Colts, who have a 4-6-1 record.

The Colts are playing energized football as of late, as they made a coaching change two weeks ago.

In that time, they beat the Las Vegas Raiders, and last week, narrowly lost to the 9-1 Philadelphia Eagles.

The Colts are playing with heart, intensity, and strength.

Wanting their new head coach to succeed, the Colts look like they can beat any team.

The Steelers, on the other hand, have played uninspired football as of late, picking up just two wins in their last five games.

Will tonight be the night that the Steelers’ reign over Monday Night Football comes to an end?

Or will they overcome all adversity, and beat an inspired Colts team?
