The Kansas City Chiefs comeback victory on Sunday night saw some history being made in Los Angeles.

This history comes from Travis Kelce and his performance against the Los Angeles Chargers.

So what did the elite tight-end do to make history on Sunday night?

Kelce Cements His Legacy As The Best NFL TE On Sunday

History was made when Kelce had three touchdowns and 115 receiving yards on Sunday night.

Those numbers help him bypass Rob Gronkowski for most 100-yard games and tie Tony Gonzalez‘s record for 10+ TD seasons.

However, it also put him at 855 receiving yards for the season.

With 145 more receiving yards, he can extend his record for most 1,000-yard seasons by a tight-end.

But do all these things now make Kelce the best tight-end to play football?

Kelce Has Only Three Records To Break During His Career

While Kelce has three seasons of 10+ touchdowns, Gronkowski has five.

To tie this record, Kelce needs two more years of high-level production.

He’s also behind Gronk’s record of most touchdowns in a single season by a tight-end, which is 18.

With seven games remaining in the season, Kelce has plenty of time to tie or even break that record.

He’s only seven touchdowns behind tying the record, and he can easily do that with the games remaining.

However, the last record he’s yet to break is the total touchdowns in a career by a tight-end.

With Kelce at 68 touchdowns for his career, he’s 48 behind Antonio Gates, who holds the record.

While he might not break this record, it won’t take away from him being the best tight-end in NFL history.
