If the rivalry between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees wasn’t already spicy enough, what Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah said about Gerrit Cole might send it over the edge.

Manoah was a guest on the latest installment of Sportsnet’s “How Hungry Are You?” with Milwaukee Bucks center Serge Ibaka.

In between drinking cricket tea and eating fish sperm, Ibaka asked the Blue Jays ace a few baseball related questions, such as how Manoah felt about being a 2022 All-Star, who he was excited to meet once he met his All-Star teammates and which teammate would hide during a brawl.

Then Manoah told his side of the story when the Blue Jays played in New York in August and he threw inside and hit AL MVP Aaron Judge. Judge and Manoah exchanged a few words and Cole came out of the dugout to get his two cents in.

Ibaka followed that up by asking who was the worst cheater in baseball history.

Manoah didn’t hesitate to single out Cole.

“Gerrit Cole,” Manoah said. “He used a lot of sticky stuff to make his pitches better, and he kinda got called out on it.”

Manoah went 16-7 with a 2.24 ERA and 180 strikeouts last season for Toronto, finishing third in AL Cy Young voting.
