Ace Clayton Kershaw is close to returning to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports.

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal was first to report the news.

The 34-year-old left-hander has pitched his entire 15-year career with the Dodgers.

Kershaw was 12-3 with a 2.28 ERA, 137 strikeouts and 23 walks last season. He was named starter for the All-Star Game for the first time in his career with the game taking place at Dodger Stadium.

A nine-time National League All-Star, Kershaw was NL MVP in 2014 and won the NL Cy Young Award three times (2011, ’12 and ’14).

Earlier Thursday, the Dodgers did not extend a qualifying offer to Kershaw for the second year in a row. Last off-season, Kershaw signed a one-year, $17 million deal with the club.
