The Carolina Panthers are at a point of no return in the 2022 NFL season.

After firing Matt Rhule this past week, Carolina heads into Week 6 with interim head coach, Steve Wilks.

Their starting QB Baker Mayfield is also injured and it is P.J. Walker‘s time to shine in the offense.

Either way, the Panthers are not going to do anything special this year.

They are headed for a long rebuild and could use some draft picks to improve their roster.

One player Carolina is receiving interest in is running back, Christian McCaffrey.

The former all-pro running back will be highly sought after by many RB-needy teams in the NFL.

Some of the teams that should make a move for McCaffrey are the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and Denver Broncos.

For Buffalo, this would be an all-in move.

They need running back help and McCaffrey can do-it-all.

He is an elite runner and receiver and can provide another element to a loaded Bills offense.

On the other hand, the Rams and Broncos are both struggling offensively.

Neither team has a running back that scares opposing defenses.

The Rams have especially been a team willing to sell high draft picks for star players.

There is almost no doubt they will be interested in McCaffrey.

Rarely in the NFL do we get to see star players traded like in the NBA or MLB.

But, when a team is looking to rebuild, they have to move their best players.

By the time the Panthers are competitive again, McCaffrey will be entering his 30s.

The time to move their franchise RB is now.
