The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.66% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the food industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.29% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s food industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s food industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 38.1% in September 2022, registering a 63.64% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 33.33% share, a decrease of 12.5% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 14.29%, registering a 50% rise from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 9.52%, down 60% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 37.04% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s food industry during September 2022 over August 2022.

Nestle with 3 IT jobs and Bakkavor Group with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 25% decrease, respectively, while Kellogg recorded a decline of 50% with 2 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.95%, down by 45.16% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 19.05% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
