Watch Live: Members of Canada’s 1972 team speak on 50th anniversary of Summit Series win


On this day 50 years ago, Paul Henderson capped a thrilling comeback by Canada in the eighth game of the 1972 Summit Series to clinch a win for Canada.

To mark the historic anniversary of the victory, Henderson, goaltender Ken Dryden and defenceman Serge Savard will speak to the media to share stories and memories from the series.

You can watch the press conference live on sportsnet.ca beginning at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT.

Later tonight, the team will be honoured in a pre-game ceremony ahead of a pre-season game between the Canadiens and Maple Leafs in Toronto. You can watch that game on Sportsnet ONE and SN NOW beginning at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
