The Arizona Cardinals did not give up in their Week 2 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

They were not rattled despite being down 23-7 in the third quarter to the high-powered Raiders offense.

Arizona went on a 16-0 run in the fourth quarter to force overtime and scored another touchdown to win the game in the extra period.

Kyler Murray‘s heroics made that overtime period happen.

The quarterback, who received a five-year, $230 million extension this offseason, completed a three-yard touchdown run to trim the lead to two, 23-21.

He also completed a pass to A.J. Green for the two-point conversion and the tie at 23.

But Arizona started to have life via Murray’s thrilling two-point conversion with a little over eight minutes left in the game.

His dash to the end zone went through some detours and defensive end J.J. Watt felt the tension all the way.

In a video shared by the NFL, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year was watching on the sidelines as Murray tried to make the count 23-15.

Lining up in the shotgun, Murray looked for an open target downfield before finding ways to extend the play.

He was chased by the Raiders’ Andrew Billings and Kendal Vickers as he went the other way.

Murray kept on looking at the end zone before deciding to take off by himself.

No one covered him as he broke the plane to complete the two-point conversion.

Watt Was Astounded By What Happened

Watt’s competitive nature prompted him to bark instructions from the sideline.

He was like a coach who directed Murray to run.

He exclaimed in joy when their quarterback completed the play.

Watt said after the sequence, “That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Man, that was crazy! I’ve never seen anything like that.”

The Cardinals will be the featured team for the in-season version of HBO’s Hard Knocks which will start on November 9.
