For the first time in a decade, the Seattle Seahawks finished a season with a losing record.
It didn’t help that they lost Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson for some games due to his dislocated finger.
But once he returned, the team built some nice momentum by winning their last two games.
However, it seems like the Seahawks are starting anew by trading Wilson to the Denver Broncos and releasing All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner who then signed with the Los Angeles Rams.
Despite those huge changes, ESPN’s Louis Riddick isn’t sleeping on the Seahawks.

They do have some fascinating players on their roster, starting with running back Rashaad Penny.
Their wide receiver duo of Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf should keep them competitive.
Noah Fant is a fantastic piece to get from the Wilson trade while Charles Cross is showing some promise at left tackle.
On defense, the Seahawks have intriguing players like Jamal Adams, Quandre Diggs, Darrell Taylor, and Jordyn Brooks.
Getting It Right At Quarterback
Only time can tell if their rebuilding project will materialize sooner than later.
However, it’s difficult to see substantial progress without improving their quarterback depth chart.
For now, that Geno Smith and Drew Lock are competing for the starting role isn’t too promising.
Getting a viable prospect at the position will reenergize their offense and their fanbase.
The Seahawks’ struggles will persist if they don’t get it right at quarterback.
