Apple Arcade — a CNET Editors’ Choice Award pick in 2021 — has more than 200 games in its catalog to play for just $5 a month, or $60 annually. The service offers original and exclusive titles, as well as familiar games in the service’s App Store Favorites and Timeless Classics sections. These games are available in the App Store already, but with an Apple Arcade subscription you can play them without ads and paywalls for no extra charge.

Amazing Bomberman

Release date: Aug. 5
Amazing Bomberman is a new competitive action game with a musical twist, from the creators of Frogger in Toy Town, Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins and Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls. Play in Online Battles, Friend Battles or go solo in Practice Mode.
My Talking Tom
Developer: Outfit 7
Release date: Aug. 12
My Talking Tom is a virtual pet game. Adopt a cat, make sure he has everything he needs, and keep him happy. Players can dress up Tom, pet him, talk to him — even travel the world and fill up a digital scrapbook with mementos of their adventures. The original My Talking Tom and other games in the franchise are already available in the App Store, but Apple Arcade subscribers can play the game free of ads and in-app purchases.
Jetpack Joyride 2
Developer: Halfbrick Studio
Release date: Aug. 19
Jetpack Joyride 2 will join its predecessor, Jetpack Joyride, on Apple Arcade this month. The sequel game brings back Barry Steakfries, a pilot who must foil a mad scientist’s mysterious, dastardly plans. According to Apple, Jetpack Joyride 2 will bring HD graphics and new animations, mechanics and gameplay.
Love You to Bits
Developer: Alike Studio
Release date: Aug. 26
Love You to Bits casts players as bumbling space explorer Kosmo. When an accident damages his robot girlfriend, Nova, her pieces are scattered across the far reaches of outer space. Set out with Kosmo on a journey to find Nova’s pieces, rebuild her and save their relationship. Love You to Bits is a charming puzzle game with sci-fi adventure elements. You can find Love You to Bits in the App Store for $4, but if you’re subscribed to Apple Arcade, you’ll be able to play the game for no extra charge.
