Davante Adams Did Nothing Wrong By Hyping Up His QB

It seems like 2022 is the year receivers play the hype man for their quarterback.

Everyone saw it when Tyreek Hill did this in Miami for his quarterback.

However, some feel Davante Adams is doing this with Las Vegas Raiders teammate Derek Carr.

This all came about when he made a statement about his transition over to Las Vegas.

With what he said, people were thinking he was comparing his QB to Aaron Rodgers.

But this was never the case, as he would clear the air about his statement.

So what did he correct and what is he sticking by when hyping his QB for 2022?

Adams Feels Carr Has Hall Of Fame Potential But Wasn’t Comparing Him To Rodgers

When a tweet came out about Adams talking about his move being like moving from Hall of Fame QB to Hall of Fame QB, people thought it was a Rodgers and Carr comparison.

However, Adams would come out and clear the air on this statement.

While he would point out how he wasn’t talking about Carr or Rodgers with his statement, he sees HOF potential in Carr.

With that statement, some feel he is over-hyping Carr, who hasn’t won an MVP or been to the playoffs often.

But there is a case for Carr to be made, now that he has his old Fresno State teammate with him again.

Adams And Carr Weren’t Hype Together At Fresno State

When you go back to their time together at Fresno State, you see two players setting records.

Carr broke records as a quarterback for the team in his college years.

While he was breaking team records, he was helping Adams break records for receivers.

These two players were the ones who put Fresno State on the map as a winning team during their time there.

So the hype Adams is giving his quarterback isn’t wrong, as the two have shown how they can shake up the football world.

They were all business in college, and seek to bring that same vibe to Las Vegas.

With that winning spirit from their college days coming to the NFL, it’s not hype at all with these two teammates.

Can The WR Make The Difference The Raiders Need?

Fans that have seen Adams from his college years and into his NFL years know he’s a difference maker.

He makes big plays and is a reliable target in every game.

Even when teams double-team him, they still can’t stop him.

With him taking eyes off other receivers, he’s a dual threat.

If they don’t double him, he can hurt defenses.

If they do double him, he could still hurt them.

However, the danger of doing this is leaving players like Hunter Renfrow open.

This means he can make an immediate difference for his team, which is looking for a playoff run in 2022.

With Carr and him having a history together already, it means they are both difference makers for 2022.

That’s why Raiders fans are so pumped for football this season.
