What is your opinion of Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat?

We all know he was an All-Star 13 times, the scoring champion in 2009, a three-time NBA champion, eight-time All-NBA player, as well as Finals MVP in 2006 and a member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.

But where do you rank him among other all-time shooting guards in league history?

That is what former NBA player and current analyst Kendrick Perkins was talking about on Twitter Monday.

Perkins said that Wade is definitely one of the top three shooting guards of all time – and the man should know because he played against him.

Has Wade’s place in NBA history been cemented or is there room for debate?

Wade’s Run

You may now know him as a part owner of the Utah Jazz, television personality, or even a game show host, but Wade had a spectacular career while playing in the NBA.

His career average was 22 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists.

And he was a definitive team leader from his first year to his last.

The guy had expert basketball knowledge and foresight and was able to read his opponents and his team members with deft skill.

Wade was one of those players who was just so wickedly smart and very difficult to outplay.

He was able to secure his first ring after only his third year in the league and then won two more when LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined him a few seasons later.

Even after those players left Miami, Wade stuck around and continued to be a driving force for the Heat.

He would eventually play in Chicago and Cleveland briefly and then retired back in Miami at the end of the 2018 season.

No matter where you rank him, Wade is definitely an all-timer.
