Jon Batiste is a Grammy winner again and again over.
The singer took house the Album of the 12 months trophy for We Are all the way through the 2022 Grammys rite in Las Vegas on April 3, beating out some stiff festival.
Batiste used to be nominated towards Tony Bennett and Girl Gaga‘s Love for Sale, Justin Bieber‘s Justice, Doja Cat‘s Planet Her, Billie Eilish‘s Happier Than Ever, H.E.R.‘s Again of My Thoughts, Lil Nas X‘s Montero, Olivia Rodrigo‘s Bitter, Taylor Swift‘s Evermore and Kanye West‘s Donda.
Right through his acceptance speech, the performer won applause and a status ovation for his transferring phrases.
“I imagine this to my core, there’s no highest musician, highest artist, highest dancer, highest actor,” he stated. “The ingenious arts are subjective and so they achieve other people at some extent of their lives when they want it maximum. It is like a track or an album is made and it is nearly adore it has a radar to search out the individual when they want it essentially the most.”
