A drastic exchange of ways helped Energumene land a dramatic renewal of the Champion Chase on the Cheltenham Pageant as pre-race favorite Shishkin disillusioned and was once pulled up.
The hunted was the hunter as jockey Paul Townend, who had made all of the operating when overwhelmed by way of Shishkin in an exciting Clarence Area Chase in January, settled Energumene in at the back of Nicky Henderson’s horse.
