Ukraine tensions: Nato isn’t a risk to Russia – Estonian PM Kallas


Russia does no longer get to make a decision who can and can’t be a part of the alliance, the Estonian Top Minister Kaja Kallas has mentioned.

Watch her inform BBC International Information’ Lucy Hockings that Russia is presenting “outrageous calls for” to Nato that it must return to its borders of 1997 – which means the Baltic states would not be a part of the alliance and there could be no new participants.

Russia denies plans of an invasion, regardless of deploying some 100,000 infantrymen on Ukraine’s border.

The Kremlin has mentioned it perspectives Nato as a safety risk and desires prison promises the alliance won’t increase additional east, together with into neighbouring Ukraine.
