Police say missing Blue Point native’s boyfriend not talking to officials as family pleads for help


A number of police companies and the FBI are persevering with the investigation into the disappearance of a Blue Point native.


Gabby Petito, 22, went missing on a cross-country journey along with her boyfriend, Brian Laundrie.

Her final identified location was in Wyoming on Aug. 25.

Josh Taylor, the general public info officer for the North Port Police Division in Florida, says a van the couple had pushed cross-country was discovered Saturday parked within the driveway of their Florida house.

He says Laundrie was seen by police on Sunday.


Laundrie is not talking straight to police and has not mentioned when he final noticed Petito.

“Definitely our investigation into the disappearance of Gabby leads us to need to communicate with him [Laundrie],” Taylor says.
