New program puts $600K toward Black businesses, entrepreneurs in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — A brand new pilot program goals to spice up alternatives for Black entrepreneurs and enterprise house owners in Milwaukee.

Creators of the Black Enterprise Increase Fund say it’ll enhance equitable growth in underserved communities.

The PNC Basis is giving a $600,000 grant to launch the fund and it is anticipated to assist a minimum of 100 native Black companies and entrepreneurs.

“At the moment we have to be daring concerning the initiatives that can finest place Black-owned companies to begin, to develop and to thrive,” stated PNC Regional President for Wisconsin, Chris Hermann.

The Wisconsin Girls’s Enterprise Initiative Company (WWBIC) will administer the funding.
