The Baltimore Ravens entered the playoffs this season looking like they had a real shot at getting to the Super Bowl, but they ended up losing in the divisional round to the Buffalo Bills by a very slim margin.
One player they could’ve used in that game is second-year wide receiver Zay Flowers, who suffered a knee injury in Week 18 versus the Cleveland Browns.
Flowers said that not being able to play in this year’s playoffs hit him hard emotionally.
“I want to be out there every game. I want to go through everything they go through, so not being out there, it took a little toll on me,” he said.

Flowers has given the Ravens the type of speedy downfield threat in their passing game they had previously lacked, and this season, he caught 74 passes for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns, which earned him a spot in this year’s Pro Bowl.
Without him stretching the Bills’ defense, quarterback Lamar Jackson threw an interception and had a fumble while being sacked that led to a Josh Allen touchdown soon afterward.
After falling behind 21-10, Baltimore fought back, and an Isaiah Likely touchdown with 1:44 left brought them to within two points.
But their two-point conversion attempt failed when tight end Mark Andrews bobbled a pass from Jackson just before he reached the goal line, and there went their season.
Moving forward, the Ravens have plenty of reasons to be hopeful, especially since Flowers may still have some upward potential, but the narrative that Jackson cannot win that one game to get his team over the hump continues to fester.
