The Philadelphia Eagles are marching into the NFL playoffs divisional round after securing a 22-10 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s wild-card game.
The NFC East champions, who posted an impressive 14-3 regular-season record, wasted no time making crucial roster adjustments ahead of their next playoff challenge.
Tuesday saw the Eagles making five significant roster moves, headlined by linebacker Nakobe Dean landing on injured reserve with a season-ending torn patellar tendon.
The Eagles’ roster shuffle didn’t stop there. Wide receiver Parris Campbell got the call-up to the active roster, while linebacker Nicholas Morrow and wide receiver Elijah Cooks found spots on the practice squad.
The moves came at the expense of wide receiver Joseph Ngata, who was released from the unit.

Dean’s absence will be felt heavily, considering his standout 2024 regular season where he racked up career-best numbers – 128 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks, and 19 quarterback hits and pressures.
His impact extended beyond just tackles, adding two fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, and an interception to his resume, earning him All-Pro votes.
Dean’s playoff debut was cut short on Sunday, managing six tackles before being carted off in the second half.
Whereas, Campbell’s promotion comes as no surprise, given his familiarity with the system throughout the season.
Despite being elevated from the practice squad for the Packers game without seeing offensive snaps, he sits as the WR5 behind A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, and Johnny Wilson.
The veteran receiver holds an edge in trust over rookie Ainias Smith, providing valuable depth should the Eagles need to dig deeper into their receiver corps during their playoff run.
