Did You Lose Your Home in the California Fires? We Want to Hear From You.

As of Wednesday morning, the wildfires in Southern California had destroyed thousands of homes and displaced more than 100,000 people, according to Los Angeles County officials, leaving many heartbroken residents with only memories of their beloved houses and apartments.

Losing a home can feel like losing a family member. For an upcoming article, The New York Times would like to help tell the stories of people who are facing this devastating reality by sharing photos, mementos and memories from what has been lost.

If your home has been damaged or destroyed by the wildfires, and you are willing to share your experiences, our reporters would like to hear from you. We know these are difficult stories to share; we see our journalism as a public service, and part of that is offering a way for people far away from these events to better understand what’s happening through your stories.

We will not publish your name with your submission without contacting you first, and we will never publicly share your personal information. We may use your contact information to follow up with you.
