The Philadelphia Eagles are flying a bit under the radar as they prepare for a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs, but they seem to have a real shot at getting to the Super Bowl and winning it all.
They took care of the Green Bay Packers, 22-10, in the wild-card round on Sunday, and while star wide receiver A.J. Brown was quiet in that game, he has had another strong season overall.
On “The Herd w/ Colin Cowherd,” Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin compared himself to Brown because of the focus Brown has.
“The man is totally focused… I understand it cause he and I are the same dude,” Irvin said.

During the regular season, Brown put up 1,079 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 67 catches despite playing just 13 games, and he and Devonta Smith give the Eagles one of the NFL’s best wide receiver tandems.
He has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in five of his six pro seasons, and he likely would’ve gotten to that milestone as well in 2021 had it not been for a chest injury that cost him three games.
He had just one catch for 10 yards versus Green Bay, and it is safe to say he will need to produce more than that versus a Rams team that looked splendid in its blowout win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday.
But if Brown, who has been dealing with a knee injury lately, is spry enough to put up his usual numbers, the Eagles could end up flying all the way to the Vince Lombardi Trophy in the next few weeks.
