There is no question that Kevin Durant is one of the best NBA players of all time, but there is debate about where he ranks on the list of all-time great stars.
But according to Chandler Parsons, Durant is better than one of the most beloved and respected stars of all time.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” Parsons said, “I would rank Kevin Durant above Kobe.”
This statement, shared by NBACentral on X, is sure to get a lot of feedback, some positive and some negative.

Los Angeles Lakers fans will surely take issue with Parsons’ thought.
Kobe Bryant remains one of the most important Lakers stars of all time and is considered a hero and legend to all of LA’s fanbase.
His career average of 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists remains in the history books, as do his 18 All-Star appearances, two Finals MVPs, and five championship rings.
But Durant has done a ton in his own right, with his 14 All-Star selections, four scoring championships, MVP trophy, and two titles with the Golden State Warriors.
Now in his 17th year in the league, Durant is celebrated as one of the smartest scorers of all time, and his mid-range game is considered the best of all time by many.
This is a debate that is sure to continue, especially in the years ahead after Durant retires.
However, before he hangs up his jersey, he will attempt to win at least one more championship.
Will he do that with the Suns or another team?
Durant is a future Hall of Famer and one of the most impressive players to ever enter the NBA, but is he superior to Bryant and his iconic legacy?
