The Major League Baseball offseason has been filled with excitement and drama whether it be from free agent signings or trades.
Some big-time pitchers and offensive players have changed teams before the 2025 season including outfielder Juan Soto, outfielder Kyle Tucker, starting pitcher Corbin Burnes, starting pitcher Max Fried, and starting pitcher Blake Snell.
One position that has been left out of the excitement is the relief pitcher market, which has not seen much action thus far in the offseason.
The position is starting to gain some traction however as teams are now showing interest in some of the free-agent relief pitchers.
According to MLB Insider Jon Heyman on ‘X,’ relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle has interest from eight MLB teams.

Relief pitchers appear to get less love from fans compared to offensive players and starting pitchers, but they are essential to the success of any team.
Kahnle came into the league in 2014 with the Colorado Rockies and has played for four different teams over his 10-season MLB career.
In 2024 with the New York Yankees, Kahnle appeared in 50 games and held a record of 0-2 with a 2.11 ERA, one save, and 46 strikeouts in 42.2 innings pitched.
Kahnle is 35 years old, but he proved that he still can be a difference-maker in 2024 with his low ERA.
Most MLB teams are always looking for help in their bullpen, and the relief pitcher market is seemingly opening up this offseason.
It will be interesting to see if the relief pitchers start to sign rapidly now that the floodgates appear to be opening.
