All good things must come to an end. The Cavaliers taught the Thunder that last week and learned a lesson of their own on Sunday night.
The Indiana Pacers used some impressive defence and took advantage of a cold shooting night to stage a 108-93 victory over the East-leading Cavaliers, snapping their win streak at 12 games.
Pascal Siakam led the way for the Pacers, scoring 18 points while adding nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal. Canada’s Andrew Nembhard followed it up with 19 points of his own and four assists.
Cleveland, meanwhile, had their worst shooting performance of the season from long-range, hitting only 11 of their 41 attempts, good for 27 per cent. In all, they only shot 40 per cent from the field. They also had 13 turnovers, which the Pacers capitalized on with 20 points of turnovers.
The Pacers started their run in the third quarter, beating the Cavaliers 37-18 in the frame.
