After the World Series concluded and the Los Angeles Dodgers took the title, the Major League Baseball offseason took off with free-agent signings and trades of big-time players.

The offseason has included many offensive players changing teams including Juan Soto signing with the New York Mets, Kyle Tucker being traded to the Chicago Cubs, and Cody Bellinger being traded to the New York Yankees.

Along with offensive players, several starting pitchers have changed teams including Corbin Burnes signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Max Fried signing with the Yankees, and Blake Snell signing with the Dodgers.

One position that has been left out is the relief pitchers, but the market is starting to pick up for them as well.

According to Ari Alexander on ‘X,’ right-handed relief pitcher Nick Anderson has multiple teams interested in a one-year deal.

Alexander noted that at least 10 different MLB teams from both the American and National leagues will be attending Anderson’s pro day.

The relief pitcher market hasn’t seen much action thus far, but reports are suggesting that it is turning around and opening up.

Anderson is 34 years old and came into the league in 2019 with the Miami Marlins.

He has played for four different teams in his five-year career, and it appears like he will be pitching for another team in 2025.

In 2024 with the Kansas City Royals, Anderson appeared in 37 games where he held a record of 3-1 with a 4.04 ERA, one save, and 29 strikeouts in 35.2 innings pitched.

The relief pitching market will be something to keep an eye on now that teams are showing interest in the free agent players.
