The Philadelphia 76ers got off to a brutal start this season, losing 14 of their first 17 games, largely due to injuries to Joel Embiid and Paul George.
While things improved for a few weeks, Philly lost four out of six games, dropping back to 15-21.
The team continues to struggle because of George’s inconsistency, which he recently suggested could be due to him being “bored” because he sometimes plays out of position.
During his press conference following the team’s 123-115 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, George said he’s “bored” of playing center for the 76ers after saying he is used to “scrapping and running around and chasing, fighting through screens.”

PG had one of his best games of the season, shooting 10-for-22 for 25 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and a pair of steals while playing 35 minutes.
With Embiid out again, Guerschon Yabusele started alongside George in the frontcourt, meaning the two were the de facto big men for Philly.
The 14 minutes Adem Bona played off the bench were the only minutes logged by a traditional center for the Sixers.
This was likely by design, as the Pelicans ran a similarly small lineup, with Yves Missi at center and only Daniel Theis spelling his minutes at the five.
George is obviously not a center, but this is not a comment you want to hear from a guy on a 4-year max contract while having as bad of a season as he is currently having.
Needless to say, PG hasn’t done his part in winning over Sixers fans yet.
