The Las Vegas Raiders are looking for a new head coach after firing Antonio Pierce.
Now, they reportedly are set to interview a headlining name who is a Super Bowl champion.
“Former Seahawks HC Pete Carroll, who met Thursday with the Chicago Bears about their vacancy, will interview next week for the Raiders’ head coaching job, per source,” ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote on X.

The 73-year-old has likely built himself a Hall of Fame career, and if he becomes a head coach again, it likely would be just icing on the cake.
Carroll has an NFL head coaching record of 170-120-1, which includes brief stints with the New York Jets and New England Patriots in the 1990s.
Although it was later vacated, he also guided USC to a national title and won the Rose Bowl four times.
Finding another head coach who understands the NFL and college game better than Carroll is difficult.
If the Raiders want to turn around the ship, he could be the man for the job.
However, he is set to turn 74 in September, and it is unclear how many more years he wants to coach.
Could he continue to coach until his 80s?
If not, do the Raiders want to hire someone who can’t envision himself being there for the long haul?
A lot of eyes will be on this situation as it progresses.
