The Boston Red Sox missed the postseason for the third straight season after finishing with a record of 81-81 and coming in third place in the American League East.
Although the Red Sox have had a few tough years, they are making moves this offseason in an attempt to get the team back to its winning ways.
The Red Sox acquired starting pitcher Garrett Crochet from the White Sox, signed relief pitcher Aroldis Chapman from the Pittsburgh Pirates, and signed starting pitcher Walker Buehler from the Los Angeles Dodgers.
According to B/R Walk-Off on ‘X,’ the Red Sox dropped a hype video for the Buehler signing.

The Red Sox appear to have had the plan to focus on upgrading their pitching this offseason as they have added multiple starting pitchers and relief pitchers.
Buehler was the most recent starting pitcher added to the roster, and the team released a hype video on social media to celebrate the right-handed pitcher coming to the team.
After coming into the league in 2017 with the Dodgers and playing all seven seasons of his MLB career with the team, Buehler will start fresh with the Red Sox in 2025.
In 2024 with the Dodgers, Buehler started 16 games and held a record of 1-6 with a 5.38 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 75.1 innings pitched.
Buehler was coming off of an injury that kept him out the entire 2023 season, and although the regular season was rough, he appeared to find something in the postseason last year.
The Red Sox will hope to get a fully healthy Buehler for the 2025 season as they try to get back into the postseason for the first time since 2021.
