It took until the final week of the season, but the NFC South finally has a winner.
With a 27-19 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured the NFC South crown and a trip to wild-card weekend. It’s the fourth straight season Tampa Bay has won the division.
The win also eliminated the Atlanta Falcons, who needed a win over the Carolina Panthers and a Buccanneers loss to secure the division title.
Tampa Bay will now either be the NFC’s third or fourth-seed depending on what happened on Sunday’s afternoon game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Seattle Seahawks.
If the Rams win, the Bucs will host the loser of Sunday night’s clash between the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.
A Rams loss, and the Bucs would host the sixth-seeded Washington Commanders.
