Someway, somehow, 2024 has turned into something of a dream season for the Minnesota Vikings and quarterback Sam Darnold.
Darnold, who was thought to be a bust by most fans and pundits, has had a Pro Bowl-caliber season, and he has put the 14-2 Vikings in position to not only finish first in the NFC North but earn the top seed in the conference.
However, there is doubt that the Vikings are legitimate Super Bowl contenders, and Joy Taylor expressed the sentiment while on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak.”
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” Taylor said of the Vikings’ Super Bowl chances. “I gotta see it in the postseason.”

It may take Darnold not only playing well in the postseason but pulling a full-on Kurt Warner for the Vikings to have a real shot at the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
After his first three seasons with the New York Jets, it looked like he simply didn’t have what it took to be even an average quarterback, but now, it’s starting to seem as if he simply needed plenty of talent around him to be excellent.
The University of Southern California product has superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson, stud wideout Jordan Addison and tight end T.J. Hockenson at his disposal.
Even better, Minnesota’s defense has been very stingy this year — it ranks fourth in points allowed, second in rushing yards given up and first in interceptions forced.
The Vikings’ quest for a world championship will start with a Week 18 game versus the Detroit Lions.
