The Carolina Panthers have seemingly been in a perpetual rebuilding process for the past several years, and though second-year quarterback Bryce Young may be a question mark, they may have a couple of budding stars to build around moving forward.
Offensive lineman Robert Hunt came into the NFL in 2020 as a second-round draft pick, and after a couple of promising seasons with the Miami Dolphins, he signed a five-year, $100 million contract with the Panthers.
It seemed like a somewhat outrageous deal for an offensive guard, but he may be proving that he’s worth the investment, based on a stat provided by Pro Football Hall of Fame Ambassador.
“Robert Hunt has played 100 percent of offensive snaps for the Panthers this season and has been called for zero holding penalties. Money well spent,” Dov Kleiman wrote on X.

The Panthers’ offensive line overall is mediocre at best, but it looks like Hunt could be a cornerstone at that position moving forward.
It will be important for Carolina to build a stout offensive line to give Young the support he needs to develop into his best self.
He had a rough rookie campaign in 2023, and the No. 1 overall pick from that year’s draft struggled to start this season, causing him to lose his starting job to Andy Dalton after two games.
After Dalton was injured, Young returned to the QB1 spot and has shown some improvement.
The next item of business for the Panthers would seem to be bringing in some legitimate playmakers at the offensive skill positions, whether they come from the draft, free agency or the trade market.
