ESPN’s Buster Olney reports the contract is for two years and $37 million with an opt-out after the first season.

Pederson hit .275/.393/.515 with 23 home runs and 64 RBIs last season with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The 32-year-old joined Arizona on a one-year, $9.5 million deal last off-season and declined a $14 million mutual option to return to the club.

Pederson will likely be used primarily against right-handers as he hit 281 with a .923 OPS, 22 homers and 60 RBIs in 335 at-bats against right-handed pitching last season.

During his 11-year career with the Diamondbacks, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and San Francisco Giants, Pederson has hit 209 home runs and been named an All-Star twice. He also captured back-to-back World Series titles in 2020 with the Dodgers and 2021 with the Braves.
