It has been a season to remember for Josh Allen, but it has come with some hurdles.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback was dealing with a fracture in his non-throwing hand, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Sunday.
The injury occurred in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals when he went airborne for a rushing touchdown. He apparently landed on his left hand and was seen shaking it.
According to Rapoport, Allen is “expected to be totally fine now” as the Bills get set to host the New England Patriots.
Allen’s injury was known but the severity was never revealed.
That hasn’t stopped the Bills quarterback from producing at an elite level.
The 28-year-old has thrown for 3,395 yards, 25 touchdowns and just five interceptions this season with a 103.5 quarterback rating. He also has 484 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground this season.
Many have the Bills quarterback as the favourite to capture the MVP award despite many expecting a step back after Buffalo traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in the off-season.
