The NBA is no stranger to characters, and there is likely no one out there who can rival Dennis Rodman.
Rodman, a former star with the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls, was known for his energy and ferocity on the court but off it had his fair share of issues.
He lived his life the way he wanted during his playing days and still somehow found a way to remain in the spotlight once his NBA career was over.
Nowadays, Rodman is doing his own thing in retirement, which includes trying to rebuild the relationship he has with his children.
Recently, his daughter Trinity Rodman called him out for being an absentee father growing up, which sent waves throughout social media.
Following those comments, Dennis Rodman posted a public apology.
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still try and never will stop,” Rodman wrote on Instagram, via Legion Hoops.

“He’s not a dad, maybe by blood, but nothing else.”

Dennis Rodman seemingly deleted the post as it’s no longer available on his profile, but it does show that he seems to care about his daughter and wants to try to salvage their relationship.
Trinity Rodman, a noted women’s soccer player, claimed that things drastically changed between her and her father once her parents divorced and she now does her best to avoid speaking to him.
It’s a sad situation between a father and daughter, though perhaps the two can reconcile one day.
