All the Kansas City Chiefs have done during the 2024 NFL season is find ways to churn out wins, no matter how ugly they look.
The Chiefs haven’t been quite the juggernaut they’ve been in recent years.
However, their record speaks for itself.
They’re now 14-1 and in pole position to win the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
Kansas City got a strong performance in Week 16 from Patrick Mahomes, who was hobbled with an ankle injury but was still able to make plays against the Houston Texans.
Like the Chiefs, the Texans will win their division and have plenty to play for due to playoff seeding, but they couldn’t overcome the latter’s defensive unit.
There’s no denying that Kansas City is in the midst of a dynasty, as they’ve dominated the regular season the past few years.
The team is experiencing its greatest success in franchise history, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
“The #Chiefs never won more than 13 games in a season for their first 60 years of existence. They’ve now reached 14 wins for the 3rd time in the last 5 seasons,” Meirov reported.

Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid have been the perfect pair to lead the organization and are positioned to do so for the foreseeable future.
It’s a testament to the front office’s ability to build a strong roster around Mahomes, though the team has bigger goals.
The Chiefs could pull off a “three-peat” this year if they win the Super Bowl, and at this point, it’s hard to imagine a team stopping them.
