Offensive linemen are the unsung heroes of football — they serve as personal bodyguards for their quarterback and not only prevent him from getting hurt but also give him the protection and freedom to perform well.
While the Kansas City Chiefs have struggled offensively in some ways this season, they have one of the NFL’s best offensive lines, and quarterback Patrick Mahomes is grateful.
He showed his gratitude by gifting his offensive linemen some impressive Christmas presents, which included a Rolex watch.

Kansas City’s offensive line features stars such as center Creed Humphrey, a two-time Pro Bowler, guard Trey Smith and guard Joe Thuney, another two-time Pro Bowler.
While Mahomes’ numbers have been subpar for a second straight season, he has still been able to make the type of clutch plays he has always come up with when his team has needed them the most.
Still, the Chiefs do have a couple of holes on that offensive line, and it has resulted in Mahomes getting sacked 35 times already this season, which is by far a career high for him.
This past Sunday versus the Cleveland Browns, he suffered a high ankle sprain, and his status for this weekend’s game versus the Houston Texans is up in the air.
In the end, however, there are plenty who feel that if Mahomes and crew are healthy enough, they will at least have a real shot at winning their third straight Super Bowl championship, something no team in NFL history has ever done before.
