The Philadelphia Eagles appear to be navigating turbulent waters despite their impressive 11-2 record.
Their recent 22-16 victory against the Carolina Panthers, a struggling 3-9 team, revealed underlying tensions in their offensive performance.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled, managing just 108 yards through the air, and the team’s rhythm seemed noticeably disrupted.
Later, star receiver A.J. Brown’s comments about the passing game’s challenges only heightened speculation about potential friction between him and Hurts.
The situation caught more attention when veteran defensive end Brandon Graham addressed the team’s dynamics during a Monday radio interview on 94WIP.
“(Hurts) is trying. And I mean, (Brown) could be a little better with how he responds to things,” Graham said. “They (were) friends before this, it’s like, man, but things have changed, and I understand that because life happens.”
ESPN NFL reporter Brooke Pryor summed up the sentiment, noting that it “appears things are a little rocky in Philly.”

Graham initially emphasized the importance of direct communication and keeping personal issues separate from professional responsibilities.
The Hurts-Brown connection has been a cornerstone of the Eagles’ offensive strategy since Brown’s arrival from the Titans in April 2022.
Brown quickly established himself as a top-tier receiver and a critical component of Philadelphia’s offensive arsenal.
The team’s dynamics shifted with Saquon Barkley’s free agency addition. Barkley is now on pace to potentially break the single-season rushing record, which has transformed the Eagles’ offensive approach.
This ground-focused strategy has somewhat diminished the passing game’s prominence, potentially affecting Hurts and Brown’s on-field chemistry.
However, Graham’s initial comments do suggest potential underlying tensions between two of the Eagles’ most significant offensive players.
