Nikola Jokic has been on a roll lately.
Sadly, his Denver Nuggets have not been.
NBACentral noted that Jokic has been phenomenal during his last six games.
It all started with a performance of 30 points and 10 points, followed by 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists.
After that, it was 38 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists, then 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists.
Recently, Jokic put up 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists.
And on Sunday evening, he scored 48 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists against the Atlanta Hawks.

For the season, Jokic is posting 32.3 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 10.2 assists.
Those are monster numbers, and Jokic is once again in the conversation for MVP this season.
In fact, he might be the frontrunner even though he’s won the last three of four seasons, including last year.
As for the Nuggets, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for them.
They are the seventh seed in the West and have suffered some devastating losses throughout the season.
For example, the Nuggets still lost to the Washington Wizards even with Jokic scoring 56 points, 16 rebounds, and 8 assists.
This is a very troubling sign because it shows that even if he’s playing like the superstar, Jokic might not be able to get his team across the finish line.
What happens if Jokic continues to play like this and the Nuggets keep struggling?
What if they don’t even make the playoffs or don’t go far in them?
Will the three-time MVP ask for a trade?
Could this be the end of an era for the Nuggets, or will they bounce back?
One thing is clear: Jokic will keep playing incredibly well.
