Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke going to East-West Shrine Bowl

[ad_1]

Kurtis Rourke’s spectacular year just keeps getting better.

The Indiana Hoosiers quarterback accepted an invitation Wednesday to play in the 100th East-West Shrine Bowl, Jan. 30 in Arlington, Texas.

The Shrine Bowl features top college seniors and attracts many NFL scouts in advance of April’s draft.

Rourke, from Oakville, Ont., is projected by many to be a potential mid- to late-round pick.

After transferring from Ohio for his final college season, Rourke threw for 27 touchdowns and four interceptions to help Indiana post an 11-1 record in the regular season.

The Hoosiers, seeded ninth in Tuesday’s College Football Playoff rankings, are expected to be selected to the 12-team CFP field on Sunday.

Colorado star Shedeur Sanders, an expected first-round pick, and NCAA passing leader Kyle McCord of Syracuse are the other two quarterbacks to have accepted Shrine Bowl invitations to date.
