The Major League Baseball offseason is heating up as the free agent class is filled with talent this year.
With big-name players including Juan Soto, Corbin Burnes, Alex Bregman, Max Fried, and Roki Sasaki still unsigned, there is plenty of excitement left to come.
While most of the focus revolves around Soto and the other star players, one long-time starting pitcher could return for another season in 2025.
Rich Hill spoke out about his future in baseball and what he would like to do.
“I definitely want to play next year and have proven that the ability is there,” Hill said.
Rich Hill just pitched 10 1/3 innings without giving up an earned run and had 14 strikeouts for @USABaseball at the @Premier12 Tournament.
The 44-year-old Hill is ready for a potential 21st season in the Major Leagues in 2025.

Hill came into the league in 2005 with the Chicago Cubs and has played 20 MLB seasons with a whopping 13 different MLB organizations.
In 2024, Hill played for the Boston Red Sox but only appeared in four games with a record of 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA and five strikeouts in 3.2 innings pitched.
Hill says that his pitching ability is still there and he proved it during the Premier 12 tournament where he pitched 10.1 innings without giving up an earned run and also striking out 14.
The 44-year-old pitcher does not have the velocity to keep up with MLB hitters, so he must rely on his location and mixing up his pitches to keep hitters off balance.
While most teams will look at the big-name free-agent pitchers, Hill could provide a team with some veteran presence while still being able to perform at the highest level.
Hill will be a player to keep an eye on ahead of the 2025 season to see if a team does take a chance on the 20-year veteran.
