The Las Vegas Raiders were the last team to beat the Kansas City Chiefs at home.
That happened almost one year ago.
Notably, they were pretty close to doing the same thing on Friday night.
Then, a botched snap in the game’s final play prevented them from scoring a potential game-winning field goal.
It was hard to explain how the Raiders failed to get a play off, and HC Antonio Pierce believes there was more to it.
When asked about the loss, the Raiders coach claimed that the miscommunication came because the players heard a whistle on the sidelines (via Vic Tafur).
Antonio Pierce said “we heard a whistle on our sideline” on the last play of the game. Team will send a video to the league for review.

He added that the team would evaluate the situation and send a video to the league.
The fans have argued that the referees have favored the Chiefs for years.
Usually, that’s what happens with winning teams; they get most of the 50-50 calls to go their way.
Then again, given what Pierce said may have happened, it could be a bit of a stretch.
The Chiefs have now won 14 games by one possession, some of which have come down to the wire, catching several lucky breaks.
They haven’t looked as sharp this season as they’ve been in the past, and some believe they will finally lose in the playoffs.
Nevertheless, people have been saying that about them for two years now, and both previous campaigns ended in the same way: with Patrick Mahomes hoisting the Vince Lombardi trophy.
